Coffin Kitsch inspired
So Meagan Kyla over at the Coffin Kitsch inspired my holiday look. I was gonna wear it to Christmas Eve but that did not happen due to some strife. So I wore it out the other night to have a beer. Here it is in all it's glory.

The blog worthy Christmas gift...
During the recent holiday, I received many delightful gifts - candles, lotions, soap, pajamas, candy - all things I love. But Lady M's is not about those niceties so I won't expand on that. I did however, get 1 gift that was very blog worthy. Yes, you guessed it.....a skeleton toilet paper holder. Here it is:
My sister thinks it belongs in a biker clubhouse but I think it will be thrilled to be part of the haunted parlor. Can't wait to install it round about August in my "skeleton bathroom".
It's going in here |
maggots
Look what I found in my sisters fridge over the holidays- Maggots! I wonder what amazing culinary delicacies lay in store???
Just kidding - she feeds them to her chickens as a treat. It is fun to watch their little chicken faces light up when it's maggot time!

Alkaline Trio Here I Come
Got some tickets today to go see the Alkaline Trio in April on their Past Live tour. They are playing all 8 of their cds over 4 nights in each city. Pretty Amazing. I have never heard them play much off of Crimson so I can't wait. Here they are back in 2006 doing the freak show thing that is all the rage this year.
They are an awesome band with very catchy melodies and dark themes and lyrics. One of my top 5 bands. Can't wait to see them. Hope everyone out there gives them a listen.

Creepmas Day 13: Creepy Present Ideas Around Town
All around my little town, I have been seeing evidence that Creepy not just for Halloween any longer. Just look at these great gift ideas I found doing my Christmas shopping. If anyone wanted to get me a Creepmas present, any of these would be great.
Thanks for being here for Creepmas - I have enjoyed blogging with each of you. I love reading your comments and your blogs. But alas, time to move on from Creepmas to that other holiday. So I leave you with a picture of my neighbor's mailbox. Looks like he wants to eat the reindeer.

ewwww - Creepy Christmas Trends
I wasn't going to blog again today but here's a creepy Christmas trend worth sharing. It is bad enough that part of the holiday meal might get caught in a beard but ornaments?
Creepmas Day 12 - Pumpkin Power
I am having so much fun using the little pumpkins I found at the Local First Grocer to celebrate Creepmas. Firstly, I carved one into a fine Creepmas pumpkin.
I baked one other pumpkins in the oven and made a puree. It is easy to bake a pumpkin - just cut it in half, clean it and turn it upside down in a baking dish with about 1/4 inch of water. Bake at 350 until you can easily stab through the skin with a fork - about 50 minutes. Once it is cooked, puree it in your blender, then use the puree to make all sorts of goodies. I made a pumpkin eggnog, added it to my steel cut oatmeal, put it in my coffee (mixed with a creamer, nutmeg, allspice, cloves, cinnamon and cloves - yummy), blended a smoothie, spiced up pancakes and created a stew. Inspired by a comment from 2011 made by Mantan Calveras of Voodoo Ghoul, I created a lamb stew with celery, pumpkin and mustard greens. It was delish. The secret ingredient?? Shipyard pumpkin ale of course.

Finally, I stuffed a pumpkin with a yummy filling and baked it for dinner. I also made Cranberry pumpkin cookies to give to all my friends and neighbors on the last day of Creepmas. MMMM- Pumpkin.

Creepmas Day 11 - The Helpful Mr. Bones
Mr. Bones has been providing a lot of Christmas support around Lady M's. From wrapping gifts to trimming the tree, I can always count on him. Pugsly's been helping too!
Silly Mr. Bones - take that Christmas Tree Skirt off!

Creepmas Day 9 - Toys for Tots
Tomorrow his Lordship and I head to the Left Hand Brewing tap takeover at our local drinking establishment Kinfolks. We love a good tap takeover as there is music, free stuff and a chance to support our Colorado breweries. While enjoying a good pint last weekend, I noticed a toys for tots donation box. What better way to get into the spirit of Creepmas than to help out a young haunter whose family has hit on some hard times. The Washington Post said recently that 1 in 3 kids in the US live in poverty. That's pretty sad if these kids don't have any presents under the tree. So I picked up this little gal to go in the donation box. I hope she finds a good coffin. Perhaps however, I should have found something off of Bob Johns monster kid toy list.

Creepmas Day 8: Get your Holiday Sweater
Tacky holiday sweater parties are all the rage. I see photo after photo on facebook of such gatherings. So if your attending one, get to the thrift store now because the best ones sell out fast. I looked the other day and could not find anything even remotely ugly. But online, there are a multitude to choose from. Some holiday sweaters are creepy without even trying. Just look at these examples:
This sweater is describe by those who are selling it as: "Tiara Unisex Lightup Creepy Bears Ugly Christmas Sweater". Really "ugly" is in the description? That's definitely what I look for in clothing.
Well creepy can't even begin to describe this. It looks like some bad take on "Alien" x "Miracle on 34th Street". Blech - you can keep it. source:https://www.etsy.com/listing/63484518/ugly-christmas-sweater-creepy-santa
That cat looks like it is suffering from the Christmas blues. source: https://www.etsy.com/listing/116247888/creepy-cat-ugly-christmas-sweater-on-any?ref=shop_home_feat
