The First of the Skeletons

As you know, every year I judge the skeleton craze in Manitou Springs.  It is an event run by the Manitou Creative District.  Shop owners participate by putting skeleton displays in their windows for the month of October.  As you can see, voting will take place online this year so I do not see why you, my readers, cannot participate and vote for your favorite.

I took a short walk around town yesterday evening and have the first of the skeletons to show you.

The library paid homage to Bob Ross and his happy little trees - love that hair.

One of our newest storefronts, Rocky Mountain Beignets went all out with an a few animatronic props as well as a great window display.  This gals rocks and cackles - she's pretty creepy.

This outdoors-man features lots of great products as well as a little alligator ready to snap at his bony butt

La Henna Boheme has a witchy gal dressed in some finery holding her black cat.
The Glass blowers have this pirate pair - deja vu anyone?  I think we saw them last year.
Finally Manitou Springs Real Estate, which always has cool designs, has suspended their skeleton in a cross legged levitation as a spider looks on.  Pretty Neato!

  2. I love skeletons, but that witch is so super cool! Here we have a scarecrow festival. The best Halloween event ever in this part of England.

    1. Over in Old Colorado City, they do scarecrows. But most are cutesy and not scary.
