Sad News with a Thoughtful Gift

My favorite Garden Center is closing its doors after 49 years in business.  The Good Earth has been featured multiple times here at the Haunted Parlor for good reason - their inventory was so much fun. Here are some of my past posts.

A Creepmas Gift Purchased at the Good Earth Garden Center

A friend delivered the news along with this Spider Tea towel that I have been admiring ever so long.

We rushed over to take advantage of the 25% discount off of the whole store. We scored a few fun things along with a whole lot of functional gardening items like potting soil and fertilizers.   Our big purchase was this gorgeous bird bath.

He needs a name so I will take suggestions from the comments.

Another brilliant independent business closes.  I will miss them.

  1. Sad news indeed about a delightful store. That little guy looks like an Aloysius to me.

  2. That's one bad thing about small businesses. When the owner retires, so does the business. Too bad no one bought the business... Lady M!
    Name? Granite Head.
