I passed the tombstone craft along to the next generation. I taught Baby M how to carve and paint a stone. I salvaged this amazing insulating foam from the Manitou Heritage Center remodel. It was destine for the dumpster before I got my gnarled hands on it.
She chose to make Dusty Bowenpyle. I think her first stone is pretty swell. Love the dancing skeletons. Those were a purchase from JoAnns this year.
I made Chris P. Corpse and Addy Ose.
They are each SO terrific!
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you. The grave yard goes up this weekend.
DeleteJamie here: Great craft idea!
ReplyDeleteThey are always fun to make.
DeleteThose are fantastic! My tombstones are wearing out and in serious need of replacement. Unfortunately, my little garage salers have no inclination or desire to take on the mantle of tombstone replacer.
ReplyDeleteAwe - they don't share the love of Halloween?
DeleteI haven't been dumpster diving in a while. When the subdivision was going up across the street I was over there constantly.
ReplyDeleteThat insulation foam is expensive, so any chance to get it for free is well worth it.
