Alternative Navities

Nativities for those of us who think outside the manger.

This little gem below for sale on Etsy.

Then there is this one I made out of a bowl of stuff at a lodge near the Sax Zim bog.

The Sax Zim Bog you say - why were you there Lady M?  Looking for Great Gray Owls, White Winged Crossbills and Boreal Chickadees of course. They hang meat in the forest there, like a serial killer is their decorator.
We were actually in the twin cities for my Niece's wedding.  She had a little Nightmare Before Christmas vibe going.

Have a Happy Holiday doing whatever floats your boat.

  1. These are super fun and creative, and yay to Nightmare Before Christmas vibes. Happy Holidays to you and your family, and sending lots of hugs. It's going to be about 70 degrees here tomorrow, but I'd rather be in Minnesota with at least the chance of some snowy, cold weather.(lol) RO

    1. This warm weather. Colorado is getting all kinds of snow except my region which is getting squat!

  3. "Think outside the manger," LOL! These are great, especially your creation. And hanging meat in the forest like a serial killer? Yowza!

    1. The friends of the bog have hunters donate the carcass waste and they hang it to feed the little birds over the winter but it sure makes a creepy effect.
