Today's the Day - the day I lose a daughter or gain a son or something of that nature. I hope I am ready.
The Craftwood Inn had a bit a drama recently as the brides cottage caught on fire. That was where my daughter and her small entourage planned to dress. So now they are at my house. I have secured sustenance for them and have cleaned! His Lordship has been asked to vacate. I have been the keeper of the dress for a long time as I am a pet free zone.
The bride photographs will be taken at the Manitou Springs Library as opposed to the venue.
We go over early today to set up decorations. I hope the drama is over and the rest goes off without a hitch.
Have a spectacular day, everyone! Enjoy this special moment!
ReplyDeleteThank you. It should be fun!
DeleteCongratulations and/or good luck!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThey're getting hitched, so hopefully at least one hitch does occur. Congratulations to all! Hope it's a beautiful day!
ReplyDeleteIt's 50 degrees and sunny - perfect fall weather.
DeleteCongratulations & Enjoy the day!
ReplyDeleteWe Did!
DeleteHalloween theme wedding had to have a little drama. I haven’t been part of wedding where something didn’t go wrong. Hope it was a less stressful ceremony and reception.
ReplyDeleteWell there was definitely drama but a lot went well too and a good time was had by all.
DeleteYou never lose a daughter. That's the thing about marriage: your daughter remains your daughter forever. But if you have a son, he is your son only until he finds a spouse. That's why my wife is sometimes very sad at the idea of Wolfie growing up.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe your parents lost a son did they?
