The Witches of Manitou

Many years ago, when contemplating our move from Texas, his Lordship and I paid a visit to Colorado Springs to research the area.  During that trip, we stayed in a hotel in Woodland Park and got to chatting with a local.  That particular fellow told us to avoid Manitou because "that's where the witches live".  Little did he know with whom he was speaking.  We immediately made a beeline for Manitou - it was love at first sight.

Manitou has a long history of witches.  Remember this loser?

He used to be the pastor at a mega church in northern Colorado Springs

He once claimed that the witches of Manitou put animal remains on his doorstep.
He was famous for his rants against gay folks.

Later he was discovered to have had a 3 year relationship with a gay prostitute and to regularly do meth.  I hope the people who tithed to the New Life Church were pleased with his use of their money.  Needless to say, this pathetic hypocrite, Ted Haggard ,lost his job.

Still, I have lived here in Manitou for 5 years and do not know where the witches dwell.  I want to find them and thank them for messing with Ted.

Today His Lordship and I went on a long walk into town and I think I found some.   They might live in these two houses.

Witches always paint their houses purple, don't they?   Here's further proof - gruesome fashion dolls.
  The grim reaper
A kindred spirit with a cauldron filled with bones
Cherubs with their eyes gouged out

 Gargoyles

Or even a sign proclaiming that the witch is in!
