A snowy graveyard is a favorite for me. The skeletal hand pushing up out of the snow seems more disquieting than dirt. Anything could be lurking under the snow!
Well you have to admit the pictures are beautiful, and boy I sure hope the snow helps with the fires they are 20 miles out from a relative they are packed and ready to roll.
Even in the Finger Lakes/Western region of NY we can't escape the cold for Halloween. Friday they're predicting AM snow showers with a high of 37 and a low of 26 and a high of 44 and a low of 34 for Halloween. All of which makes setting up the haunt for Halloween that much more difficult. Way, way, back on Halloween 2003, it was a high of 73, and was still in the low 60's for most of the night. One of these years we're going to get a nice warm Halloween again, maybe next year.
YIKES! Snow is the pits for the Halloween season for sure, living in ND while in the Air Force I ended up slowly falling in love with cold weather and snow. I absolutely adore these pics, but know you're looking forward to the greenery this weekend. Sending hugs, RO
Now I live in NC where it hardly ever gets seriously cold, and if we have an inch of snow everything truly shuts down(lol) I rarely even have to wear a coat here. I really miss the kindness of people in Minot too. Very little crime and everyone truly worked together. Hope you are doing well! Hugs, RO
Oh, that poor little frozen skelly hand in the snow, LOL! Snow for Halloween is common here too.
ReplyDeleteIt should melt by Saturday and be a nice Halloween.

ReplyDeleteIt should be melted and lovely weather for Sat.
DeleteI saw on the news that they think the snow won't do enough to help put out the fires. Here's hoping they are wrong.
ReplyDeleteHopefully it we be enough to let firefighters get the upper hand.

ReplyDeleteLets hope fire season has finally burned itself out.
DeleteI like a cold end of October, but snow is a bit early, although a, white Halloween has its charm.
ReplyDeletethe Colorado high altitude sun is out. This stuff will melt by tomorrow so we will have a green Halloween.

ReplyDeleteBrrr - our cold front is heading your way indeed. Your skeleton clowns are going to be freezing with no meat on their bones to keep them warm.
