It was hard to get motivated this year to set up the haunt. For a week everything just seemed messy, disorganized, old and tired, much like myself. I really wasn't feeling it until I pulled out the potion ingredients. There is something about setting one, two or three witch cabinets up that speaks to my soul. I love them. I adore the ambiance they create. They bring my whole haunt together. I know these are similar to what I have done in the past but I cannot help but celebrate them. Three chairs for the witch cabinet!
Many of the things in the cabinet are gifts from friends and bring back such memories - grandmas meat grinder, Graeme and Michele's crystal balls, the orange candle I bought in Wisconsin with Twisted Sister number 2. Each year I add a few bottles, either by making them on photo shop or finding them on the web. Look closely - you might see one of yours!

DeleteHow FABULOUS the whole display looks! I'd be tempted to leave it up all year -- just a permanent little witchy corner in your house. For when the need arises to poison or hex someone.

DeleteWho needs china storage anyway? Your right there isn't a day that goes by that I wished my cabinets were stocked with more dead man toes instead of pesky china.
DeleteJust tell His Lordship that you're running low on Dead Man Toes and then look suggestively at his feet. That'll get him to fall into line!
