The costume is evolving

Yesterday, I received the corset I ordered in the mail.  Despite ordering an XL, this garment is tiny.  Those Chinese assured me it would fit a DD cup size, but quite honestly, I don't think they know what that means.  I have been eating less since the last week of Sept. in anticipation of donning a corset for Halloween.  However, I must starve the rest of the week if I am to wear this thing on Sat.  Give me strength, oh blog readers ,to resist all the treats I will be preparing in the near future. Holy s#*t - this sucker is tight.

On a brighter note, the choker I ordered is fabulous and just what I expected.

I also had the hair dyed in anticipation of the events.  Black streaks woven through my naturally silver locks.  It is pretty cool although I think it blew the stylists mind.  I might have one red streak added for Halloween when I wear my red corset.

  1. Gorgeous hair! I agree. I have the same type of corsets. I have a red one and a purple one. I got it in 2XL and it is still small. I feel fat LOL

    1. Yes - I am not sure why they are cut so small.

  2. If the corset has a modesty panel you can leave it unlaced a little in back. Alternately, you can sew a small strip of fabric in so you don't see skin. Another trick is to reach down and pull "the girls" up on one side then other after you are laced in. It makes for impressive cleavage and gives you a bit more room.

    1. I am wearing that lacy jacket so I think I can leave the laces a bit looser in the back if necessary. I don't mind back skin showing! I'll try hoisting them up and see if that is more comfortable.

  5. Everything about your hair and outfit look GREAT but I agree with Old Fashion Halloween -- bend over, "charge your cups" and pull The Girls up and together as high as public decency will allow! Pretend you're going to Oktoberfest or something!

  6. I've wondered about ordering corsets when I see them on ebay. Your sizing experience is something I'll keep in mind. Anytime I order anything wearable from China, I go a few sizes up. Because, you're right, it's like a whole other world for them. Their idea of a large is like our idea of a small. Anyway, good luck resisting the treats! Of all the times to have to watch gaining weight, when there's all this candy around!

So, what's your costume going to be? A witch? A vampire? General Gothiness? Or are you saving it as a surprise for us?

    1. I am always the same - I am Lady M. my alter ego. I agree that the folks in China just don't get us buxom, full figured western gals!

  7. OHMIGOD YOUR HAIR! I love it ... I wish mine sould hurry up and finish greying out now, dammit!

You're going to look fabulous with that corset and necklace! My dress is a little snug, but that's my own damn fault for not doing a proper fitting and just going with the measurements on the pattern. Too late now!

    2. Thanks for saying such nice things about my gray hair - just my dumb luck that there are trendy styles involving gray hair at this time. I colored it from age 33(I started graying that young) to 50 and then said F*%# it. It's liberating not coloring my hair every 4 weeks.

    1. I have managed to get down to 127 lb. After Halloween it is back onto Furhman. But I have really managed to lose weight by 1. not drinking booze 2. eating smaller meals and not snacking.
