So I have been thinking about these - and trying to make them achievable this year since usually they are something that I never manage like lose 20 pounds. So this year I will not focus on weight lose but on health. Got to get healthy since my November lab work was not to nifty - better diet, more exercise, less booze and junk food. All work and no play - making Lady M a very dull girl indeed. It sucks getting old.
Yes, getting Old Sucks...... We have issues of getting enough Food.. so back below 130lbs.
ReplyDeleteA great first Monday of 2015 to you....
as for "views"... currently at over 1,300... We do Not know "Why or How".... since just before Thanksgiving... Number of views went up .. ( Had a good run for October as well)... Before views were around 500+ do not know when they will again drop in number...
Hope that you are well dear Lady M....
Okay, I'm just checking out your picture and wondering if the rose syrup and champagne are yummy and worth breaking the 'less booze' resolution for? :)
ReplyDeleteVery delicious indeed and resolutions start after New Years Eve!
DeleteDid not get to drink anything for new years...
ReplyDeleteand have never heard of "rose syrup" before... heard of "clover"...
.... as for "giving up" these "pleasures"... instead remember All things in "moderation" ... don't "over do it" Too much or to often... don't have to give up "enjoying yourself" from time to time....
I agree Dr. Theda - less booze not "no booze". Don't think I can achieve being a teetotaler.
DeleteIf you focus on eating better and maybe walking a few times a week it will work. Thats what I did I stopped fretting about dieting and more about me. Its not easy and you will stumble a few times but stick with it and you will do fine. Take it one day at a time. :)
ReplyDeleteYes - I went for a hike this morning. Got a pedometer for Christmas and have taken 7,148 steps today at 11:33. So one step at a time.
DeleteUgh. Tell me about it. Youth is wasted on the young, as they say.
ReplyDeleteYes - the things I could do with it now.
DeleteExactly my thoughts, sister, although giving up the booze will be hard. Here's to a Happy and Healthy 2015!
ReplyDeleteI won't give the booze up - just cut it back. Maybe just cut it in half. Starting a new blog for healthy eating - Lady M's and Her Twisted Sisters. Would you like to be a twisted sister and a blog contributor?? I would like to share healthy recipes, exercise tips etc.
DeleteSounds like a good goal! i heard getting old isn't for wimps. I mean that's what I heard, so I'm going to remember it for when I get old! Seriously though, it's gotta be about our health. My wife has had a major set back this past year that has made us really re-evaluate our life goals and realize how a health issue , could just put a stop to any dreams for our future. Wishing you good luck!
ReplyDeleteWell said Mark - it is amazing how easy it is to take health for granted.
DeleteHear hear!
ReplyDeleteTo the 'old' part, not the 'healthy' part... :)
