New Years Resolutions

So I have been thinking about these - and trying to make them achievable this year since usually they are something that I never manage like lose 20 pounds.  So this year I will not focus on weight lose but on health.  Got to get healthy since my November lab work was not to nifty - better diet, more exercise, less booze and junk food. All work and no play - making Lady M a very dull girl indeed. It sucks getting old.

  2. Okay, I'm just checking out your picture and wondering if the rose syrup and champagne are yummy and worth breaking the 'less booze' resolution for? :)

  3. Did not get to drink anything for new years...
and have never heard of "rose syrup" before... heard of "clover"...
.... as for "giving up" these "pleasures"... instead remember All things in "moderation" ... don't "over do it" Too much or to often... don't have to give up "enjoying yourself" from time to time....

    1. I agree Dr. Theda - less booze not "no booze". Don't think I can achieve being a teetotaler.

  4. If you focus on eating better and maybe walking a few times a week it will work. Thats what I did I stopped fretting about dieting and more about me. Its not easy and you will stumble a few times but stick with it and you will do fine. Take it one day at a time. :)

    1. Yes - I went for a hike this morning. Got a pedometer for Christmas and have taken 7,148 steps today at 11:33. So one step at a time.

  5. Ugh. Tell me about it. Youth is wasted on the young, as they say.

    1. I won't give the booze up - just cut it back. Maybe just cut it in half. Starting a new blog for healthy eating - Lady M's and Her Twisted Sisters. Would you like to be a twisted sister and a blog contributor?? I would like to share healthy recipes, exercise tips etc.

  7. Sounds like a good goal! i heard getting old isn't for wimps. I mean that's what I heard, so I'm going to remember it for when I get old! Seriously though, it's gotta be about our health. My wife has had a major set back this past year that has made us really re-evaluate our life goals and realize how a health issue , could just put a stop to any dreams for our future. Wishing you good luck!

    1. Well said Mark - it is amazing how easy it is to take health for granted.
