Homemade labels

I know there are tons of killer labels out there for jars - really great ones in fact.  But often what I have to fill a jar and the labels I can find don't match up.  So occasionally I have to take matters into my own hands and make some.  So below I have two brands.  The dancing skeleton was for some interesting things I found to fill jars like little femurs and jellied eyeballs.

The other brand I have created is Black Cat mostly in response to wanting a label that would have both a front and back side to go on my little antiques bottles.

I have given you both the backs and fronts here. They are JPEGS so you are welcome to them if you like. FYI - the fronts and backs don't match up. You'll have to put them together via the witty little things they say (well I think they are witty anyway).  For example the back that says "Do not administer to corpses dead longer than 24 hours. Not responsible for the reanimation of zombies" goes with the elixir of life.  You'll get it - I have confidence in you.  Since they are not aged, I print on some beige paper and age with tea staining.

  1. Those are way cool! Even better when the bottle contents are edible!

    1. I would love to make you some bottles. But this Halloween I am swamped! I have 16 tombstones in the garage to paint today. YIKES!

    1. Thanks Mark although (wah, wah) I cannot share dancing skeleton as I cannot find the file. I made them about 5 years ago and through the process of a move and a new computer they have gotten lost.
