Code Orange is what some say on Instagram when Halloween stuff appears in stores. It varies widely around the country as some places have had decor since May. Living in this bastion of Christian fundamentalism has us behind by weeks.
Baby M and I headed in search of a Code Orange and found some Halloween treasure at JoAnns Fabric and Crafts.
Some fun stuff in those photos! I must confess that I haven't seen any Code Orange in Edmonton yet, but I suspect Michael's would maybe have its Halloween stuff out by now. I should get my rear in gear and go look.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could join you but alas over 1,000 mile means that's not gonna happen!
DeleteQuite a trove of items, though I'm not sure what the one in the second picture is.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen any Halloween presence yet in the (admittedly few) stores I shop at. The big thing at the moment is Independence Day.
Hee hee - 2nd picture is Baby M in her Picachu Halloween shirt holding up a coffin shaped cutting board with skeleton handles. I have also seen Code Oranges for Michaels and At Home in some parts of the country but sadly not in mine.

ReplyDeleteHalloween should be going up this week at Home Depot. They don't even wait for July 4th to be over before giving the summer stock the heave ho.
ReplyDeleteI was just at Home Depot and saw no sign but we are later than the rest of the nation.
