More Manitou skeletons today. Flying Eagle did a take on Little Red Riding Hood. It is hard to see and photograph through the glass so I included some up close detail.
To continue the fairy tale theme, Mountain West has the three bears. As usual, they have done a whole window very extensive design. And per usual, their window is a bitch to photograph so I have added some detail.
The Twin Bears Embroidery has done a skeleton emerging from the coffin and a scared little kid. Again with the window glare - grrrr. The coffin skele is wearing an "I didn't survive the incline" t-shirt. The incline is an extreme staircase in Manitou that use to be an incline railroad. It gains 2,000 feet of elevation in less than a mile. It has been known to kill people.
Gigi's the animal lovers gift shop has this cute little bull dog wrapped in chains.
Rocky Mountain Beignets has this adorable duo playing a bit of jazz with a swooning fan girl. I took a little video of them in action.
Piramide has a stunning mermaid.
The LeGrande Accents Boutique has this Dead Barbie's Dream House. It is a vision in pink window glare.
Manitou Outpost and Gallery has a fun hiking family.
The Olde Tyme Photos has a great little vignette of a photo shoot - one of my favorites this year except for, you guessed it, WINDOW GLARE!
The floral shop, Flowers and the Moon, has this lovely spider silk wrapped skeleton who also has a gardening implement.
Finally the Manitou Springs Heritage Center has vintage tourists.
SO many good ones! Love Grandma Wolf (those furry slippers!), Goldilock's luxuriant hair, the cool jazz duo, and the disco ball hat!
ReplyDeleteI tried to photograph the furry slippers up close but alas no luck.
DeleteIs that fangirl swooning or is she just yelling for the waiter because she didn't order a tarantula?
ReplyDeleteSo Barbie can fit into Halloween after all! This year it was inevitable someone would make the attempt.
Awesome imagination and work on these. Too bad about the window glare.
Yes she is saying "where the heck are my beignets?"
DeleteJamie here:
ReplyDeleteThese are great. I especially love the Barbie ones, the Disco one and the Red Riding Hood. I would have never been able to guess the Jazz ones, though.
So the Jazz players are at the Beignets place, which are little donut type thing popular in New Orleans. I figured they were playing some Dixieland Jazz.
