Molly Brown House Review

Last night some friends and I went to the Molly Brown House for an Immersive literary experience.  We were read to by the Brother Grimm (The Youth Who Could Not Shiver and Shake),  Francis Marion Crawford (The Screaming Skull), Edgar Allen Poe (Masque of the Red Death),  Lucy Maud Montgomery (House Party at Smoky Island), and a short piece by Kate Chopin The Story of an Hour. That was my favorite story.  It was about a woman who thought her husband had died and in her shock, realized that she was free to do as she wished.
We got to tour Molly's Mansion by Moonlight
Naturally, we dressed for the occasion.

They had some fine decorations but alas, photography was frowned upon.  Skeletons in the stew pot and mood lighting added to the effect. We enjoyed the stories and were followed around the house by a ghoul who startled me on more than one occasion.  The carriage house gift shop contained a spooky assortment of Halloween goodies.  It was all I could do to restrict myself to purchasing these earrings.

A fun girls night out.  Thanks ladies for hanging with me.  If you're ever in Denver for Halloween, keep it in mind.
