Here are some photos of my recent trip to Scotland taken at the Latheron Kirk which is now the Clan Gunn Heritage Center. It was a cold and foggy morning as we drove between the ferry at Gills Bay and Edinburgh.
5 years later I am finally working on the scrapbook from our trip to Edinburgh. In the last heat wave I dumped all the paper ephemera and photos on the dining room table and started assembling a scrapbook. So many cemetery photos. We shot hundreds of photos in 4 cemeteries in Edinburgh alone! Now, I just need to upload more cemetery photos to Flickr. We took the train from London to Edinburgh and then moved on to York with day trip to Whitby and then back to London for 5 days.
Gothic, eerie, creepy -- Scotland was the PERFECT place for you to holiday! Looking forward to seeing and hearing more about your trip!
ReplyDeleteGreat because there are more posts to come....
DeleteAwesomely atmospheric! Good for the clan leaving the graves undisturbed when they took over the site.
ReplyDeleteIf only we could get some of that lovely Scottish weather over here right now.
It was indeed cool - in the 60's most days and drizzling.
DeleteIt looks like one good tsunami would wipe Clan Gunn Visitor Center of the map.
ReplyDeleteIndeed everywhere I spent my vacation was vunerable as we were only a mile from the coast at most times.
Deletethose are some dazzling photos! what great atmosphere. Hope you had a great journey.
ReplyDeleteThanks - it was indeed a moody morning.
