I haven't paid much attention to the Altered Art scene or Artfest since 2008. Looks like it is still going strong. Round Robin style art journaling is fun with a group of friends so you get back a journal filled with art. The art form started out as playing card size art that you could trade with friends. Something affordable everyone could do without investing a lot of materials and canvas. Art journals are a nice way to contain artwork in a small space. Larger paintings take up a lot of flat file space!
Does it need to serve a purpose?
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lot of work and money to make one - I would like it to serve some sort of utilitarian role.
