In downtown Colorado Springs on the corner of Nevada and Vermijo, sits a giant pumpkin created by the concrete couch, a Manitou Springs, not-for-profit art project. As you can see, 90% recycled and entirely created by volunteers. This thing stands 14 ft. tall including the base. It really evokes the spirit of the season.
VERY impressive! I like how it almost looks like opaque stained glass.
ReplyDeleteYes everything concrete couch does is mosiacs - it's pretty cool.
DeleteDoes it stay in place year round?
ReplyDeleteYep - it would be a bitch to move.
DeleteIt really does invoke the spirit of the season.
ReplyDeleteThe colors are enchanting! That's is a fantastic piece!
ReplyDeleteThe Concrete Couch is a neat organization. They just purchase a derelict piece of property and are turning into an art park.
