Graveyard Erection

Got your attention, didn't I?  I put the graveyard up this week for the neighborhood kids. It's my pithy offering to the season as Covid cases spike again in this country.  The only thing that is erect out there are the tombstones.

I have also made a candy slide.  I plan to write a little backstory about how the skeletons are restless and to wait while I put the candy down the slide because I cannot risk opening the door or the gate lest they escape.  I myself will be dressed as a skeleton.

I have purchased full size candy from Costco and discovered that Twix does not go down the slide - Milky Way and Snickers go down nicely and the M&M's have to be shoved through with a paint extension pole.

I don't expect many kids and if I bring a smile to even one, it will be worth it.

Hay, I've seen Nekromantik. I don't shock easily.

That's one hell of a display, and in the first pic it's apparent a couple of the skeletal deceased don't want to stay down. Maybe they'd like some candy?

I hope you do get plenty of kids in spite of covid-19. You're certainly making it worth their while.

    Love the tombstone names!

    1. So I have not seen Nekromantik and had to do a search. So yes, from the description, you've seen it all!

  3. Splendid yard display for this year. Halloween this year is really the last fun holiday event that can be managed carefully before a long winter of isolation. The remaining holidays for the year are going to be spent do differently this year. We've been hearing from friends and neighbors that kids are really looking forward to this Halloween more than prior years, so going the extra mile to make this year's Halloween actually happen as safely as possible is going to make a lot of kids very happy.

    1. Yes - trick or treats can be outside, masked and socially distance. All the things we are supposed to do!

  4. NO, my mind did NOT "go there." I'm a good girl, I am.

You need a bigger diameter of PVC pipe! Maybe even the biggest!
