His Lordship Cometh

His Lordship has been away for sometime visiting his motherland.  While I am glad he got to go, I have missed him.  Weathering the pain of election results without my better half was lonely. 

 
You may ask why he is "His Lordship".  He was the next in line to inherit the family estate.  Alas, he was born a year to late. 
 So he remains a Laird without any land.  But to me, he will always be His Lordship. Welcome home darling.

    That sounds interesting. Often my partner goes away for work I both enjoy it and miss to a point.

    You didn't go with him this time, lady M? I'm always thrilled the first night the spouse goes away for any length of time - toast for supper, an entire king-sized bed to myself, etc. But I'm over it within a day and wishing he were back.

    Welcome home, your Lordship. Nice pic, BTW. You and the long-suffering spouse really are good sports. Lady M and I are very lucky. :)

      It is novel for a few days and I agree, I always eat whatever whenever whereas His Lordship requires a proper meal.

    Ooo, is he Scottish? I have a thing for the SCottish (and it has nothing to do with recent horrible tv-shows).

      He's a blend - the family surname was Scottish but I think most of his ancestors were educated in England. They trace lineage back to Mary Queen of the Scots and King Etherberht. His accent is English as he grew up and was went to grade school in England. But he went to University in Scotland. We love Scotland and the people there.
