I have always worried about burning real candles in places that might light my party guests on fire. Somehow, I don't think they would be amused. This year I have created some alternative candles from toilet paper rolls and hot glue. I can now rest easy that my guest will depart my party uncharred. What antics they get up to on the way home are not my problem.
They look awesome - great Idea and great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks Angelica.
DeleteYou sure have been busy! Nothing like the pressure of having a party to jump start your creative side.
ReplyDeleteNicely done on all of your new additions!
Thanks October boy - will you have a party this year?
DeleteUnfortunatly no, we are not hosting this year. Its been about 18 years running and when the guest list starts to top 100 it gets a bit overwhelming so we are taking the year off to relax and enjoy. (secretly thinking about passing the baton to my daughter who is more than willing to take it) Although you do miss the prep and exceitment- gives you direction. Best of luck with yours and enjoy every minute of the time leading up to it!
DeleteYes I hear you - I do one every other year so that it doesn't get to be a grind.
DeleteFlameless candles are all I use now, too. Yours look great -- like you just got them from a funeral home!
ReplyDeleteFuneral Homes beware - I am on the loose!
DeleteThey look great. I think I feel inspired. To create some two of my candle sticks.

ReplyDeleteCheap, easy and fun - toilet paper rolls, a hot glue gun, some LED tealights and black chalk paint are all you need.
DeleteThat's what my work is doing for the background for the Halloween party pictures!
ReplyDeleteGood - you don't want to light any dogs on fire.
DeleteOooh.. that's a great & fantastic idea!!!
