Due to some recent bad news, I feel myself spiraling into depression. The only solution for such is to create. For me, misery has always led to art. So here is my canvas scavenged from my sister, missing it's guts and one foot. It is a beautiful blank slate upon which I can pour my sorrow.
It is solid wood and weighs a ton. I have decided that it will be a spider clock - not gory or bloody as some have suggested.
Sorry to hear that sadness and depression are visiting you. Sending you hugs today. May creating your spider clock bring you heart's ease.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the hugs. I appreciate the karma you are sending my way.
DeleteOMG! The clock is fantastic! Perfect for a new design!!!
ReplyDeleteI just hope it can be as inspired as the projects you create MK.
DeleteIm sorry for the bad news and feeling depressed. That clock case is amazing. Can't wait to see the finished product.
ReplyDeleteThanks - I hope to make it a working clock.
DeleteLove and hugs to you, Lady M. I do love this clock. I know you will restore it to its former beauty, although in a slightly different manner.
ReplyDeleteI think Mom would be horrified! Thanks for the love and hugs.
DeleteWell, it sucks to hear you've had bad news and are feeling low, lady M. The youngest and I were just remarking we both have a case of the sads lately too. So I'm making a quilt for the hotel and getting ready for HorrorCon, and she's going to go get a second job. Keeping busy helps us both as well. I hope you share photos of your clock case progress ... it has stunning 'bones' and I know it will be amazing when you're finished. ♥
ReplyDeleteMaking a quilt! You are so very talented. Yes, keeping busy does help me forget my sadness.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing your clock become something new and creepy! Was trying to see where it was missing a foot? If it is broken wood and I can be of some help, please let me know.
