All Fu*#ed Up

Just in time for Halloween, I have screwed up my rotator cuff.  No idea how and when.  There is still so much to do and I have no idea if it will get done - cooking, cleaning, pumpkins.  Here I sit typing with one hand wearing a sling I improvised from some creepy cloth (at least that is festive) while His Lordship heads to the pharmacy to pick up the pain killers I was prescribed today.  The kind where you have to show your ID so they can scan it to make sure you don't run some black market prescription pill business.  Anyhow, I was guaranteed a nights sleep if  I took these so we'll see how it goes.

  1. Hopefully, you will feel better. If its good drugs, at the very least you might not care. :0 )
Having been sick with lung crud for 3 out of the 4 weeks in October, I so appreciate the image.

    1. Those were good - while I was up half the night per usual, I felt no anxiety or pain. Sorry you have the crud. Halloween seems a bit more cursed this year.

    1. I used to take turmeric for my joints but stopped. Usually my yoga keeps me supple. Oh well, it sucks to get old. My health issues are nothing compared to yours so I should quit my bitching.

    1. I wanted steroids but the PA I saw was not licensed to give me a shot. I might have to call today and insist as it is the only thing that really helps with my tendonitis.

  5. I had that once ... too many years of working retail in a clothing store and hauling armfuls of clothing from one rack to another. When I first went to my GP and said I couldn't raise my arm any more he said, 'Well, you're getting old.' Really, doc? Tell me something I don't know. Physio helped a lot - I wasn't lucky enough to get painkillers!

I hope you can still manage to lift all those Hallowe'en goodies to your mouth okay! Skip the cleaning part though. Dust is our friend when it comes to Hallowe'en decor. ;)

    1. My right arm is fine so stuffing Halloween candy into my face is not affected. Carving pumpkins one handed - now that could be tricky.
