Skeletons Arise!

Here are the first of many skeletons invading Manitou as the competition began yesterday.
The Glass Blowers are paricipitaing this year for the first time with this fortune teller and her little pirate buddy holding, what pirates always treasure - glass strawberries.

Captain Custard, last years peoples choice, is once again making an appearance.  This time in a funny scenario as a painter who has unfortunately lost his ladder.
Anna's Apothocary has put together a lovely card reader complete with props table.

My favorite this week is this little guy, despite the lack of costume,  enjoying a handmade blown glass bong at the Hemp store.  He looks so pleased!

  1. My faves of today's picks are the fortune teller and her pirate customer!

  2. Such clever disguises. I, too, like the gypsy fortune teller and the pirate ones.

  3. Love the skeletons. I noticed something about them: while they are heavily featured as props and decorations during Halloween, they are little more than that. They are not very often used as monsters or creatures in horror stories.

    1. Perhaps that is because they are all smiles.

    2. That makes them scarier. I will try to think of a horror story about skeletons.

  4. Love to see the different things to be done with skeletons, and I've always wanted to meet an actual glass blower. They are so unbelievably talented, and those strawberries are pretty amazing! Hugs, RO
