Disneyland Chilling, Thrilling Sounds Of The Haunted House

This album, for all of you old enough to know what that is, was a favorite of ours as children.  We used to listen to it repeatedly especially around the Halloween season.  I think it set the gold standard for haunted sound effects for years.   The first side, as I recall had some narration and the second was just sounds. We had the 1973 version with the orange cover pictured above.  The Chinese water torture or the martians were not particularly  scary.   Our pet cat, Boots, never sounded like that.   Anyway, I came across this on the web the other day and it sure brought back some memories.

  1. Holy smokes! I had that album ... I STILL have that album, but no turntable. I remember the shipwreck being pretty neat and the cat fight freaked out our dog. Hehehe ... thanks for the memories!

    1. No you had that doll carriage foist upon you when you probably would have preferred chilling and thrilling sounds of the haunted house.

  3. I just picked this up a year ago at a record shop that has now closed sadly. We already listened to it once this year. I mainly want to hang it as the album art is super cool as well.
