Social Distancing

My sister and I were laughing last night about the upside of social distancing.  That is, one can fart without the bother of distressing those around you.  So let em rip America.  After all, we just achieved the most cases of Covid-19 in the world so I think we will be social distancing for awhile.

Don't self medicate

This story from Phoenix where a man died and his wife became seriously ill after listening to Trump.  Please folks, you would not go to a dog groomer to fix your car, don't listen to a game show host to fix your health.

Random Bits

Cleaning up my pictures on the computer to free up memory.  Thought I should share these before I delete them.  They are so cute.
Skeletons escaping from my back yard.
Isn't she precious?  I would love to have her shoes.

From Croshame
Tee hee - this would so be me if I could knit that is.  Perhaps they would like something made from polymer clay or on the laser machine.

Polymer Clay

While sheltering in place. I have decided to finish some fun projects with polymer clay.   Remember those wacky plants I posted about some weeks back when life was still relatively normal?  Well I made some of my own.

I also had fun making some candles for each level of the dollhouse.  All materials upcycled of course.

In Response

In Response to Debra She Who Seeks post regarding toilet paper, I give you this:

Keeping it shallow

In this dark and trying time, I want to shout out to my sister and brother-in-law  who was supposed to be visiting in a week.  Unfortunately, the borders are closed and they will not be coming.  I will miss all the good times we could have had together.

They sent some lovely gifts that I would like to share with you good readers.  Perhaps these gifts will amuse you as we stand of the brink of disaster.

So my dear readership, please stay away from other humans as much as possible and wash your hands. I know you are a good sensible bunch of science based thinkers who do not percieve this as a hoax so protect yourselves.  As far as myself, I am going to shelter in place and do crafts.  I have a backlog of projects that need my attention.

Robyn Hitchcock

This Thursday, Robyn Hitchcock in playing at our own Lulu's Downstairs.  I am only familiar with 3 of his CDs.  That leaves me with about 17 to listen to thus I believe my chances of knowing all his music are slim.  It's been about 30 years since I last saw him in concert. When I play my Robyn Hitchcock Pandora channel, I get such a strange mix of music.  Oh well, I think I will enjoy myself.   Here are the Soft Boys from 1976 with a little extra modern footage.  Robyn's the fella with the iron.

And Brenda's Iron Sledge. I hope he plays this one although it is not on any of his recent set lists.

Haunted Horticulture

Years ago, when we were children, my sister purchased a book on making tiny flowers.  We got a little press and created geraniums, roses and ferns.  Sadly, few of these creations survive today.

The black plant stand that held my tiny creations did survive and is ready for round two.  So bring on the inspiration for haunted horticulture.
This is awfully fun. From the Tallulah Belle blog as is the one below
Love this eyeball plants from Midnight Dreams
I think I could manage something like Dragons Dreams Designs tenacle flowers.

Of course, one must include a carnivorous beast like the Audrey 2 and a mandrake like those Professor Sprout grows.

Sneak Peak

Here are a few images from  Lady M's Haunted Parlor in miniature.  Most everything you see has been upcycled and tweaked by myself.  Many of the items have been made on the laser cutter from scrap wood.
